Turkish Bath… Stone walls with vaults. Light enters from above through the glass windows of the dome. Benches, lined with marble. The floor in the dressing room is covered with carpets, and the benches for rest are covered with cloth with rich ornaments. This is probably how Pushkin saw an oriental bathhouse, struck him with its luxury and its spirit.

Hammam – this is also called a Turkish bath, which means "heat". This heritage of Eastern civilization has its own ancient history, the beginning of which arose in the Roman baths. The extraordinary structures of Turkish baths were often rebuilt from temples, that's why they have such an unusual shape: columns, domes, niches. Sacred continuity is transmitted not only within the walls of the hammam, but also in the internal content. After all, a Turkish bath is not only a place for washing the body., it is also a place of purification of the soul. As the Prophet Muhammad said, “Cleanliness is half of faith”. Adherents of this philosophy believe, that Turkish baths help drive out evil spirits, and make your soul pure.

Besides the fact, that the hammam is a temple of purity, this is also a place, which in the modern sense was like a club. Meeting place, communication and transmission of the latest important news, who loved to support everyone. And women were far from the last connoisseurs of this place. The husband was obliged to let his wife go to the bathhouse once a week, otherwise she could file for divorce. Bathroom, there must be,
