Anatomically, each element of the body has its own shell - each muscle is shrouded in a film (fascia), bones are covered with periosteum, the spinal cord and brain have a dura mater, each internal organ also has its own capsule. All these shells in one way or another transform into each other, uniting in the form of aponeuroses. Proved, that relaxation or shortening of the fascia directly affects performance, the organ contained within it. In muscles, this leads to a tonic imbalance - overstrain or weakening. In body fluids, this leads to a deterioration in blood flow through the vessels., passing through the fascia and interfascial layers, as well as to impaired venous outflow and lymphostasis. Since there is a continuous connection between the fascia, then the tension of one fascia is reflected in the tone of other fasciae in the form of tension or atony. There is a possibility, acting on one fascia, influence the condition of others. Chains of alternating tension and atony of the fascia pass throughout the body, like muscle chains, when a spasmodic muscle alternates with a relaxed one. So, despite the fact that MFR often affects compensation, partial or complete correction of the primary lesion occurs reflexively, as well as general health benefits.

MFR has virtually no complications, does not require much force and is effective for many somatic dysfunctions. MFR is a method of manual influence on any contractile structure, based on the plastic-elastic properties of soft tissues, activating somatic and neuroreflex mechanisms, improving the biomechanics of the structure. Wherein, when exposed to a small area, the condition of the entire structure improves.

The MFR technique involves the implementation of three main, consistently implemented actions:
– pressing on contracted muscles to a state of pretension;
– traction (растяжение) muscles along the fibers in opposite directions to the barrier;
– twisting the muscle in opposite directions, also until pretension.

As a result, through 10 – 50 sec muscle relaxation occurs.
The technique is performed not only on superficial muscle-fascial structures, but also provides a relaxing effect on the tendon-capsular apparatus of the joints of the limbs and spine.
When performing MPR, the operator subtly responds to proprioceptive feedback from the patient, which allows you to estimate the direction of the required effort, impact force (100 – 120 gr)
and duration of stretching.

The releasing technique can quite successfully influence various dysfunctions in the muscular-fascial system. Any pronounced spasm in the myofascial system will lead to disruption of vascular and neurotrophic support, lymph stagnation, increased intracellular pressure and, as a consequence, to disruption of the hydrodynamics of interstitial fluid, followed by various types of somatoreceptors and the appearance of myofascial pain syndrome.

MFR is used both for acute, as well as for chronic myofascial pain syndromes and dysfunctions, especially in cases of traumatic situations.
MFR is especially effective when working with muscles, performing a postural function, high in slow twitch and relaxing fibers. The MFR technique is also effective with areas of local hypertonicity, revealed during dynamic massage. Targeted effects on areas of local hypertonicity using MFR accelerates the process of normalization of muscle fibers.

The training program includes the study of MFR techniques on the main muscle groups, as well as impact on hard-to-reach muscles for dynamic massage techniques, such as the breathing diaphragm, iliopsoas muscle, scalene muscles of the neck.
In addition, Students will become familiar with anatomy, physiology and biomechanics of the main muscles, ligaments and fascia.

Purpose of the program – study of muscle-fascial releasing techniques (rebalancing), adapted to the work of a massage therapist. As well as studying the anatomy and biomechanics of individual muscles, testing their condition.

Soft manual techniques, rapidly developing in recent years, seriously expand the arsenal of possible techniques, with the help of which a massage therapist can receive health benefits
Effect. Some techniques are easy to learn and can be used without additional special education. One of these methods includes muscle-fascial release.. (MFR) The MFR technique can complement the arsenal of massage effects, targeting the muscle membrane, reducing its tone and allowing the specialist to obtain a deeper healing effect in less time. In addition, the MFR method can also influence myofascial, viscerofascial and other fascial connections, affect blood vessels, joints, nerve, organs, etc..

Muscle-fascial release (rebalancing) – technique of direct impact on muscles, fascia and ligaments, leading to normalization of their tone. After MPR, the muscle is normalized, that is, the relaxed one intensifies, and the overstressed one relaxes.
